For 4 days from September 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th is Bestival Time, a Boutique Music Festival that takes place at Robin Hill near Downend and Newport in the heart of the Isle of Wight.
Top Acts and live Performances perform at the major stadium whilst, on a smaller scale, live performances are found at their own venues throughout the park.
The theme last year 2014 was Desert Island Disco, dressing in costume is a must. In 2010 Bestival was the year it received an award from 'The Guinness Book of Records' for 'having the most people in costume at one time' Adds another touch of fun to your very long weekend.
Camping facilities at the Bestival site is impressive and caters for whatever your budget might be.
Over the 4 days and included in the ticket are the facilities at the main campsite. With the main campsite you can just find a spot and pitch your tent. The main campsites are color coded to make finding your tent a lot easier. Each campsite has a special personality and identity with it's own hub, own crew and even it's own flag.
More exclusive campsites, that you pay extra for, one being the 'Wild Copse' has it's own shower/toilet facilities and also it's own car park.
The Boutique camping site has a bar for it's guests and seating and also very good food.
Tipis and Yurts and Cloudhouses and PodPods and Shikar Tents are just some of the choices you have when booking.
In another area can be found the Bestival Mother and Child chill out zone, where Mother and Child can chill out and relax in a separate quiet Yurt.
Bathing under the sky can be found in another area with a wood fired Spa and Sauna.
Also a healing area and soul Park can be found in yet another area of Robin's Park.
Transport in the form of shuttle buses and taxis and the ferries crossing from Lymington, Southampton and Portsmouth that connect with road, train and coach transport. Personal Assistants and carers of people with disabilities can, if eligible gain free access to the disabled campsite and carpark. This area does get booked very quickly so it is best to book as early as possible.
Campervans, Caravans and trailers and campervan parking is also available and can be hired or you can bring your own.
